Nursery School
For many children, nursery school is the first step toward independent social experiences. Lil’ Folk Farm’s nursery school meets on Tuesday and Thursdays and is typically for our three year olds. We provide a safe and nurturing environment in which children develop cognitive and social skills and are offered many opportunities to explore creatively through play. Our morning circle time offers stories, finger plays, movement and active participation in learning games. A good portion of our morning allows the children a free choice activity time. We respect the child’s choice to work individually or join a group of friends to play. This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to enjoy experiences that encourage social interaction and creative thinking. Block building, dramatic play, and art experiences as well as games and puzzles are designed to stimulate young minds. The children share the same snack and juice together mid-morning. Following snack, we share music and signing time. We get outdoors at the end of each day to enjoy the spacious playgrounds or have indoor fun with parachute games and active play during inclement weather. We have an October Open House to include children and their families with a short music program.

Our Nursery School year concludes with a family picnic on the last day of school.
