PreK

Pre K Program
Our pre-k meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays and is typically for our four year-olds who will be attending Kindergarten the following year. Our pre-school day begins with a circle time during which the children participate in teacher directed activities including stories, songs, finger plays, and thematic activities centered around our weekly topic. Exposure to letters and numbers are directly related to our weekly themes to make learning more meaningful. Our free choice activity time offers a variety of literacy experiences in science, math, and reading readiness, art, black building, and dramatic play. The activities are designed to give the children an opportunity to socialize and experience a variety of center areas both child and teacher directed. Closing circles review the day’s events and prepare the children for what to expect the next school day.
